I'm a San Diego-based black and white film photographer who enjoys creating silver gelatin prints using traditional analogue methods. The intriguing aspects of a photo emerge under darkroom safelight in the print development tray, where highlighs, shadows and midtones are revealed. My appreciation for how process and materials impact the look and feel of the final print has made me a dedicated experimenter for whom the variables of multiple b&w film stocks, developers, filters, toners and print papers offer challenges and opportunities in the creation of memorable images.
